REALTORS® showed their commitment to community on June 9 as volunteers gathered at FearIsNotLove to help complete the organization’s new Outdoor Oasis.
Supported through a 2025 CREB® REALTOR® Community Foundation Transformation Grant, the project converted an underutilized outdoor area into a welcoming and private space for women and children staying at FearIsNotLove’s Emergency Shelter.
The volunteer opportunity gave dedicated REALTORS®, including Friends of the Foundation, a chance to see the impact of their support firsthand. Throughout the morning, participants assembled outdoor furniture, created a play area and installed pergola lighting, helping create a warm and inviting outdoor retreat.
For women and children staying at the Emergency Shelter, access to outdoor spaces can be limited. The Outdoor Oasis provides a safe place to enjoy fresh air, spend time together, play and relax while remaining within the privacy and security of the shelter.

The Outdoor Oasis is one example of how Foundation funding can help local organizations enhance the spaces where they deliver critical services.
